Control Panel Failed

The control panel lights on this oven began failing after about 2 years of service. Now some of the buttons have failed. Disconnecting & reconnecting power doesn't help. Have to have it repaired. And we haven't found the convection features to be worth the extra cost.

Certain features did not work every now and then here and there, I've had it for less than a year and now it does not heat up our food. It turned on the light is on it sounds like it's working but the turntable doesn't turn and it does not heat food at all. Very disappointing.

I installed the 1st PEB9159DJWW, including the accompanying 30" trim kit, in Dec. 2017. I had several problems with it in the first 4 years (bad door switch, which I replaced myself, loose gasket in the glass door, and most recently the control board is starting to go out (one LED segment out, "start" button stopped working and then worked again). Instead of buying a new control board (a widely noted problem with this model) I opted for a new one PLUS an extended warranty. I didn't want to try to find another brand and its trim kit that would fit my existing cabinet opening - but if this one has multiple problems, that's what I'll do when the extended warranty expires. The convection oven is a nice feature, but we have found the temperature to vary up and down so much during cooking that we only use it for reheating.

I havent used it. I didnt need a combo with a convection oven. There are no instructions that I see to know how long to cook things since it supposedly cooks faster™¦.

Just got this GE Convection/Microwave, used it three times and it is wonderful!!! Don't have to heat up the entire kitchen anymore, just use the convection option!

So far, not impressed. The microwave portion works fine. The convection portion not so well. Baked a frozen pizza and it was soggy. Roasted a leg of lamb with potatoes, the meat cooked properly but the potatoes were still raw. Had to finish the potatoes in a skillet.

I love that it is really quiet compared to my previous microwaves. I can™™t wait to explore the convection oven part of it. The only thing I don™™t like is the rather flimsy push-to-open button. It is plastic and has gotten stuck pushed inside a few times, and other times where it won™™t open the door the first time I press it...I feel that I have to be very deliberate and press it firmly directly in center of rather large button to make it work. Otherwise, I like it very well.

Had this microwave less than 3 years. Buttons stopped being responsive and parts of led display blacked out. Piece of garbage. Paid over $600 for this trash. Had a competitor's microwave that lasted 23 years that probably cost $50 at the time. GE should replace this for us.

So far so good. Had to make a slight adjustment to the door as it came bent above the hinge and would expand causing the door to stick and pop upon opening when using the convection feature. But works well now! Nice style and color options.

It's a microwave. Complaint there is no light.
For the convection oven, it comes with a metal grill... I accidentally put it in for 5 minutes and didn't press the "broil" button. Therefore it microwaved and now my kitchen is smoking. How bad is that?

The microwave noise keeps going on after it beeps and it is imposible to know if Only the Fan is working or also the Microwave? It goes on & on for a while some times and scared to use my hand to remove the pot form inside when the noise is on, incase it's emiting microwave also. I asked the question but asked me to rewrite but not answered.
