While this toaster oven had clean look and easy to read digital, interface can't say much else besides it toasts bread. It makes a large and whirring fan noise even when just toasting. it takes forever to reach temperature convection. All surfaces get hot when in use. Drip pan angled when inserting so crumbs fall to the back.

I love the look of this toaster oven. The controls are easy to operate after reading the manual. The oven itself is a lot larger than I was expecting, but it did fit on my countertop. The one thing that is a huge miss for me is the amount of time it takes to preheat....25 minutes! That's way too long!

While the GE Carlos Convection toaster oven is larger than I expected, it does a great job of cooking a variety of foods. This sleek and modern looking toaster oven has the capability to cook small and larger items due to it's size and options. It can toast, roast, bake amongst other options. I am really enjoying the versatility of this oven.

This is a very large oven. Fits 10 large pieces of bread for roasting! I can fit a whole frozen pizza I. It. I have Cooke a small chicken in it and it comes out perfectly cooked! No hot spots, cooks evenly and clean up is a breeze. I would buy another one in a heartbeat!!

The settings are simple with a digital display that you can easily read and adjust the temperature. Preset modes allow you to set how you want to cook - bake, broil, roast, toast, pizza, and bagel which takes the guess work out. The crumb tray is a nice feature to catch all the cheese that drops off pizza and is easy to slide out and clean.

GE - Calrod 6-Slice Toaster Oven with Convection bake - Stainless Steel Review
This toaster oven by GE is a real showstopper! Its elegant design is only matched by its large capacity (large enough to fit a 12-inch pizza!) and multiple functions. To start with, the toaster arrived promptly after ordering despite quoting a possibly longer ship time. When it arrived, it was thoughtfully packaged and in perfect condition. As the unit is one piece, it took almost no time at all to unpackage it and heat up my morning bagel.
Several other toaster ovens I have owned in the past have had issues with uneven heating, but not this one. Often, I find myself having to babysit my toaster but after getting distracted and forgetting about my bagel I found that it was perfectly toasted on all edges. I've yet to try to larger items to toast but based on off my first few tests I feel confident that this thing could evenly cook a 12-inch pizza with no problems.
One other thing I have enjoyed is the 7 different functions: Toast, Bake, Convection, Broil, Bagel, Pizza, Roast and Keep Warm. In my state our temperature is mild enough to warrant not having AC in the house, but during summer when the days are warmer I dread warming the house up by turning on my full sized oven to make a pizza or warm up leftovers. With the large capacity of this unit I no longer must worry about warming the house more just to feed my family a great meal. Between the large capacity, beautiful aesthetics, and piece of mind offered knowing I bought this item from a reputable company like GE, I am very satisfied know this oven will be a staple in my kitchen for many years to come.

Im really happy with this toaster oven. It is a very nice looking oven, no frills but you don't really need them. This does a great job of heating up quickly, cooking evenly and accurately. It does a great job on toast and the broil works fantastically. I've owned 6 or so in the past 20 years and this is the best. The previous one had air fry and dehydrate but air fry got oil everywhere and dehydrate picked up flavors of food. If you need ether of those features by them separately. This does the job you need it most for well. It comes with a rack, a pan and a metal piece that lifts the rack or pan out that works well. The dial and buttons are easy to use and the overall build is excellent. This is a really beautiful kitchen appliance that is also easy to keep clean. I have owned for about 2 weeks and used every day. I would definitely recommend this toaster oven.

Got this convection oven and im super happy with it. I have a pretty large family so this extra baking space is gonna come in handy. Easy to use, super compact. Made some toquitos in it and some lasagna and came out perfect!! Happy mom here

This oven is so amazing. I have an extremely busy schedule, so my time is stretched and cooking doesn't really play a part. This oven helps out tremendously. Just being able to sit food inside, set it, and walk away with out worrying if the food will burn. Great product, I really wish I would have gotten this ove sooner

I was looking for a toaster oven to use instead of my oven to reheat leftovers or cook a small pizza. This does just that! Easy to operate and cleans up easy. Doesn't heat up my small kitchen like my oven would have and the outside doesn't get hot so I don't have to worry if little hands touch it. Works perfectly for me and my needs.

My wife and I recently ordered and received the GE Calrod Quartz 6-Slice Convection Toaster Oven. We're glad we did, as this is a diverse machine, capable of quite a bit of cookery.
Pros: The oven has a modern stainless steel exterior with easy-to-use controls. The control panel (which shows you everything you need to know about your cooking cycle) uses a bright-blue digital display and offers three backlit push-buttons (Start, Cancel, and Convection), a rotary selection knob for cooking "Mode" that cycles through pre-set Toast, Bagel, Pizza, Roast, Bake, Broil, Keep Warm settings, a rotary selection knob / push-button for toasting "Shade" (light to dark) / "Slices" (1 through 6), as well as "Time / Temp" settings. The oven offers a host of configurable settings in between. Included is a wire baking rack, an 11.75" x 9.5" metal baking pan, an easy-to-insert and remove drip pan, and a wire handle to grasp easily either the rack or the baking pan. The oven offers a pre-heat cycle, a cook-time count-down feature, a convection setting to circulate the heat for a more consistent temperature, and an end-of-cycle beeping option, which can be silenced. The oven has three slots to adjust how close or far from the top or bottom heating elements food items are. There are five heating elements. The three on top are quartz, the rear is glass, the bottom are typical elements you'd find in a regular oven. The bottom elements don't appear to heat as fast as the others; but, all heat quickly and evenly (especially with the preheat function) and cycle on and off to maintain the desired temp. The convection setting helps a great deal with keeping a consistent heating temp. Please note that, so far, I only used this oven to toast bread, make french fries, and make toasted ham and cheese sandwiches. All of these items turned out pretty well, when placed on the middle rack. Finally, the included instructions are very helpful. I highly suggest taking time to read them (including ensuring to conduct the initial element burn-off, which should be done in a well-ventilated area).
Cons: Please note that while the toast and toasted ham and cheese (the latter on the bagel setting, watched carefully while baking) were great… both toasted/cooked through, the GE seems to toast faster on the top than the bottom… my guess is due to the different materials the heating elements are made of.
General Consideration: This convection toaster is large. Much larger than the toaster ovens you tend to see on the market. The manual recommends at least 4" of clearance on all sides. Ensure you allow for this room, as, as you'd expect, the exterior gets really hot. Exterior dimensions are 18" W x 14.75" D (including the handle) x 11" H. Interior dimensions are 13" W x 11" D (wire rack surface), 12" (back of oven to door) x 7" H. The highest heat temperature available is 450 degrees.
Recommended Purchase?: Due to ease of use and convenience, definitely. The toaster oven is on the larger side and takes up valuable counter space; but, the oven's convenience makes it worth the space sacrifice. And, since it looks so good on the counter or bar, there's no need to make it a use-and-put-away appliance.

This toaster oven is everything that a toaster oven should be and more! I am overjoyed with the variety of settings this particular model provides as it can not only be used as a traditional toaster, but also oven, roaster, and broiler, etc… to cook a wide range of your favorite foods. I've used it to toast sliced bread, frozen waffles, bagels, and homemade ciabatta garlic toast, as well as bake cookies, cook pizzas, roast vegetables, and to heat up small casseroles. With its versatility and compact size, I think this would be a wonderful alternative to a traditional oven for those with smaller living areas looking to save space or for those who may be looking to save money. I do, however, wish there was an interior light to have on when the oven is in use, especially when using it to toast bread, hamburger buns and the like as it is difficult to see just how toasted it is getting without opening the door. This toaster oven is easy to use and operate, and is sleek in design. Such a great addition to our kitchen!!

The GE® Calrod Convection Toaster Oven has been a great addition to our kitchen. It's not too big ... about the same size as our current countertop microwave. Stainless steel design makes it very attractive. Controls are easy to use. Manual is helpful. We've used It to make toast, pizza and a casserole. I've also reheated leftovers in it. My only negative would be that the unit gets HOT during use.

My wife and I have still been using the old school toaster that we've had forever and it finally died a few weeks ago. My daughter is always raving about her toaster oven, so we thought it was time to upgrade and give it a go.
This has been a tremendous upgrade because it can toast, but also do so much more! Now we can use this to make dinner rather than our regular oven which seems to heat the entire apartment. This cooks the food well and is so easy to use. Additionally, it is sleek looking and matches our other GE appliances.
All in all, a great upgrade for our home.

This is definitely going down in history as the best toaster oven I have ever owned. I could pratically use my oven for storage only. The size alone makes this toaster oven impressive. I can fit 6 slices of pizza in at once. It has 7 cook functions: Toast, Bake, Convection, Broil, Bagel, Pizza, Roast and Keep Wa. Keep warm may be my favorite feature since I have never seen it in a toaster oven before and I use it all the time when trying to get everything on the dinner table at the same time.
The other thing I love is the pure beauty of this toaster oven. It stainless steel finish is very stylish. It looks great on my counter and has been getting used ALOT!

I was really excited when I received the convection oven. When I went to go put it on the counter I found out that it was not as wide as the oven but I did find a place that I could set it up safely. My kids love to eat pizza and other snacks that have to be made or cooked in the oven ,it's more convenient to use your convection oven than my older oven.I can use both ovens everyday. It is easier to clean then my microwave. Thank you.

I love love love this new toaster oven. It is twice as big as my old one and works great. I have made reubans and toasted cheese and they turned out nicely. I am going to try a small roast and see how that does. I am very happy with everything about it. It looks nice and fits perfectly on my counter.

I love this GE toaster oven! I have a small child and this oven is perfect for preparing her snacks or meals. Having this toaster oven saves so much time in the kitchen. I think we can all admit that we hate when you are really hungry, but want to heat something quick in oven! Waiting and waiting on the traditional over to finally hit 425. Well, wait no more, this GE toaster oven is awesome and heats very quickly! The functionality is very straightforward and easy to use. It cooks at the right temperature and evenly! I am very pleased with this countertop convection oven. It is large enough to fit a frozen pizza, yet small enough to fit comfortably on my counter without taking up too much room. (Not to mention I don't need my toaster anymore.) It is also very versatile. I can toast bread or bagels for the whole family at once, heat up leftovers, make snacks or small meals, even roast some meat! Yesterday I made over a half dozen cookies in this oven and they turned out perfectly! (See picture!) This morning I made 6 slices of bacon and they came out crispy and delicious. I like that I don't have to heat up a big oven for a bite to eat, and feel like it saves on time and energy. The one drawback I found was the temperature/timer button. They are one in the same, so you hit it once to set temperature and twice to set the timer. That's not such a big deal, however, you have to wait until the oven preheats to start the timer. Just a small inconvenience, but everything else about it is great.

This GE Calrod Convection Toaster Oven is compact enough to keep on the counter yet convenient enough to make everything from toast and bagels for breakfast to pizza and grilled cheese for dinner. The settings are simple with a digital display that you can easily read and adjust the temperature and pre set modes allow you to set how you want to cook for example bake, broil, roast, toast, pizza, and bagel which takes the guess work out of what to set it on. I tried a nine inch pizza and it fit perfect. The crumb tray that sits on the bottom is a really nice feature. It caught all the cheese that dropped and easily slid out for cleanup. It heated up evenly and crisped up my pizza. The instruction manual is very informative and detailed. Although I didn't see anywhere telling where and how to position the racks. I ended up reading some reviews that explained where people put them and that worked out. This is more then just alittle toaster oven. This is a multifunctional appliance that can be used for any meal. Its great if you don't want to heat up your oven and the kitchen. I followed the instructions for first time use and never felt like it was unsafe. Would definitely recommend this Convection Toaster Oven to anyone.

We tried out all the options of this toaster oven. For a two person house it will keep us from having to use the larger oven on a daily basis. It toasts evenly and fits nicely on the counter. We did find the lack of instructions for the crumb tray to be a bit of a challenge (hope we have it right). Also the use of the oven rack handle to get the baking tray is tricky as the baking tray must be push to the back of the oven to life it off the shelf. Both of those were minor setbacks in an otherwise great oven.
